      <description>&lt;p&gt;In cooperation with &lt;a href=&#34;https://www.periplus.eu/&#34; target=&#34;_blank&#34; rel=&#34;noopener&#34;&gt;periplus instruments&lt;/a&gt;, we evaluate to what extend constraint logic programming can be used to reason over string constraints.
In particular, we implement a constraint solver based on SWI Prolog and CHR, integration existing solvers such as CLP(FD).
We mainly target test data generation for data-intensive applications such as data warehouses.&lt;/p&gt;

However, due to its age, Prolog and the common Prolog interpreters lack features often available for other languages. For instance, test coverage computation and support for in-code specification are only rudimentarily available. In this project, we strive to port interesting features available for other languages to SWI and SICStus Prolog.&lt;/p&gt;
